Covid-19: Angola with 17 confirmed cases and no deaths in the last 24 hours

Angola registered 17 new cases, 0 deaths and 215 recoveries, in the last 24 hours, according to the epidemiological bulletin of the National Health Directorate released this Thursday.

Confirmed cases were reported in the provinces of Zaire (nine) and Luanda (eight), with ages ranging between seven months and 96 years, with 11 males and six females.

With regard to recoveries, the highest number was registered in Huambo (57), followed by Cabinda (48), Luanda (34), Zaire (29) Cunene (22), Malanje (17) and Benguela (eight) , aged between one and 84 years.

Laboratories processed 2188 samples by RT-PCR in the reporting period, making a cumulative total of 1,160,288 samples to date, with a positivity rate of 5.6 percent.

With data from the last 24 hours, the country presents a cumulative 64,985 positive cases, 1729 deaths, 63,013 recoveries and 243 active, of which five critical, four severe, 13 moderate, 19 mild and 202 asymptomatic, with 41 patients being hospitalized, in institutional quarantine 97 people and under epidemiological surveillance 96 contacts.
