Country reports 218 recovered and only 13 new cases of covid-19

The numbers released by the health authorities regarding the last 24 hours of the impact of the covid-19 pandemic in the country, show a continuity in the trend of decreasing new cases, with only 13, largely surpassed by the number of recovered, 218.

The new cases are divided into 10 males and three females, aged between seven and 62 years. Seven were diagnosed in Luanda, three in Malanje, two in Cabinda and one in Benguela.

In the same period, two deaths were registered, both in Luanda. They are a 37-year-old man and a 64-year-old woman.

With regard to those recovered, 128 live in Benguela, 78 in Cabinda, seven in Malanje, four in Huíla and one in Uíge.

In the last 24 hours, laboratories processed a total of 1813 samples by RT-PCR, with a positivity rate of 0.7 percent. The cumulative points to 1,156,132 processed samples, with a positivity rate in the order of 5.7 percent.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Angola has confirmed 64,940 cases, of which 646 are active, 1729 deaths and 62,565 recovered. Of the active cases, four are in critical condition, five are severe, 14 are moderate, 16 are mild and 607 are asymptomatic.

39 patients are hospitalized in the treatment centers, with 83 people in institutional quarantine and 93 contacts with positive cases in epidemiological surveillance.
