Covid-19: 14 new cases registered and 21 recoveries in the last 24 hours

According to the daily bulletin that reports the evolution of the covid-19 pandemic in the country, made available by the Ministry of Health (MINSA), Angola registered 14 cases in the last 24 hours, surpassed by the number of recovered patients, which rose to 21. No deaths from the disease have been reported.

Of the new cases, 11 were diagnosed in Luanda, two in Huíla and one in Moxico. The list is composed of eight male and six female patients, with ages ranging from one month to 87 years.

As for the recovered, 20 reside in Luanda and one in Huíla.

In the last 24 hours, the laboratories processed 1704 samples by RT-PCR, and the positivity rate was fixed at 0.8%.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, a total of 64,913 cases have been confirmed, which resulted in 1727 deaths, 61,687 recovered and 1499 are active. Of the active cases, MINSA reports that four are critical, four severe, 10 moderate, 18 mild and 1463 asymptomatic.

In the treatment centers created to fight the pandemic, 36 patients are hospitalized, 83 citizens are in institutional quarantine and 96 contacts of positive cases under medical surveillance.
