FILDA kicks off in Luanda with more than 550 exhibitors from 15 countries

The 36th edition of the Luanda International Fair (FILDA) starts this Tuesday, after three postponements, with 558 exhibitors from 15 countries, including Portugal, which has the largest international representation.

In addition to the host country, Angola, with 500 companies, will present themselves at FILDA, which runs until December 4 at the Luanda-Bengo Special Economic Zone (ZEE), exhibitors from South Africa, Germany, Argentina, China, Egypt, States United States of America, Eritrea, France, India, Italy, Japan, Lebanon, Portugal and Turkey, according to the organization.

This year Portugal will have a joint presence with companies in the civil construction, metalworking, tourism, agri-food and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) sectors.
After Portugal, with 17 companies, China is the most represented country at FILDA, with 11 exhibitors, followed by South Africa, with six.

The international event, which did not take place in 2020 due to the covid-19 pandemic, was again postponed three times this year also because of restrictions on circulation and health measures.

FILDA, which has been held since 1983, was until 2016 organized by different management entities, passing to the direct management of the Government/Ministry of Economy from the 33rd edition.

This year, the exhibition will open on Oil Day, with thematic days dedicated to the state oil company Sonangol (Wednesday), Portugal (Thursday), the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (Friday) and Angola , which marks the end of the event, on Saturday.

The last edition of FILDA took place between the 9th and 13th of July 2019 and was attended by 21 countries.

Tickets cost 2000 kwanzas, and the exhibition will be open from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.
