Country says goodbye to IATF with a volume of business intentions in the order of four billion dollars

Angola said goodbye to the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF), which took place in Durban, South Africa, with a very positive balance. According to Agostinho Kapaia, coordinator of the Angolan delegation at the event, the country registered a volume of business intentions in the order of four billion dollars.

"The Intra-African Trade Fair was very fruitful. Angola's participation has come to an end and we have a positive balance insofar as we had a record of investment intention in various sectors", he revealed.

Cited by Angop, the coordinator informed that participation in the event allowed national businessmen to make around 3000 contacts of investment interest in the country.

Agostinho Kapaia indicated that the country's participation goals, attracting investment and promoting exports were achieved.

He also mentioned that the organization is very pleased with the country's commitment and participation.

He also took the opportunity to highlight the visits of the secretary general of the African Continental Free Trade Area, the president of Afreximbank and the minister of Commerce of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Jean-Lucien Bussa Tongba, to the Angola pavilion.

Regarding Jean-Lucien's visit, the coordinator of the Angolan delegation indicated that the minister showed interest in creating a commercial relationship with Angola, having invited representatives of the private business sector to visit his country, writes Angop.

The event took place from 15 to 21 November in South Africa, and Angola was present with 30 companies.
