According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, the cases are divided into the provinces of Luanda (46), Huambo (21), Cunene (14), Kwanza Sul (7), Malanje (4), Cabinda (4), Uíge (02) and Moxico (1), being 65 male and 34 female, aged between 2 months and 77 years.

The deadly victim was registered in Luanda, an Angolan woman, aged 63.

In the last 24 hours, 100 people were considered recovered, 34 in Huíla province, 32 in Luanda, 17 in Malanje, 13 in Huambo, three in Lunda Sul and one in Kwanza Sul, with ages ranging from 2 to 63 years.

At this time the country has a total of 7617 data as recovered and 6962 active, of which seven patients are in critical condition, 13 in severe, 175 moderate, 185 light and 6582 asymptomatic.

The laboratories were able to process, in the last 24 hours, 3345 samples, of which 99 were positive, representing a daily positivity rate of 2.7 percent.

The cumulative number of analyses points to 226,644 samples processed to date, of which 14,920 are positive, which refers to a cumulative positivity rate of 6.5 percent.

Franco Mufinda again called on the population to avoid contact with the corpses, asking them to wait for the authorities to perform the covid-19 test.

"Even today we had a call in one of the provinces, because there was contact, thank God the test was negative, if it was the opposite, I don't know what it would be," said the Secretary of State for Public Health.

According to the governor, the orientation is for the testing of all corpses, so he asked "the patience of the families, we have to wait, wait for the result of the test.

"We will also avoid the detour of corpses in the morgues, because this endangers our health and ends up exposing the health of the families excessively", he said.

The covid-19 pandemic has caused at least 1,422,951 deaths resulting from more than 60.4 million cases of infection worldwide, according to a balance sheet made by the French agency AFP.

The disease is transmitted by a new coronavirus detected in late December 2019 in Wuhan, a city in central China.
