In the letter to which Lusa had access, the five organizers ask Hélder Pitta Grós to investigate the crime of "criminal association practiced by the MPLA's direction led by Mr. José Eduardo dos Santos [former president of the Republic] who institutionalized the policy of primitive accumulation of capital" which translated into the practice of corruption crimes.

The current President João Lourenço is also targeted, since the letter asks the PGR to investigate "how he became one of the owners of Banco Sol and Banco Angolano de Investimento", as well as the civil and criminal liability of his chief of staff, Edeltrudes Costa, based on accusations of illicit enrichment made by TVI.

The promoters of the demonstration also want to ascertain the responsibilities of José Eduardo dos Santos and other strong men of his regime, Generals Leopoldino Fragoso do Nascimento "Dino" and Hélder Vieira Dias "Kopelipa" and Manuel Vicente, former vice-president and former president of Sonangol, in the creation and hiring of the company Trafigura by the Angolan State.

The raw material intermediary, based in Singapore, supplied Angola with practically all the diesel and gasoline the country needed, until it lost this monopoly after João Lourenço came to power in 2017.

Another of the inquiries requested relates to the responsibilities of the owners of the construction company Omatapalo "who were public agents at the time of its incorporation and in that condition did business with the state" and the state partners in Unitel, a telecommunications operator that was controlled by Isabel dos Santos, daughter of former President José Eduardo dos Santos, and now the oil company Sonangol is its largest shareholder.

Finally, they are requesting an investigation to determine the civil and criminal liability of the current president of the National Electoral Commission, Manuel Pereira da Silva "Manico", whose choice was contested by the opposition.

Next Saturday's demonstration called by civil society members Fernando Macedo, Helena Vitória Pereira, Leandro Freire, Muata Sebastião and Laura Macedo, aims to protest against corruption and political impunity.

The organizers also wrote a letter to the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, demanding the resignation of his chief of staff, Edeltrudes da Costa, "because there is evidence of illicit enrichment of this public agent.

Since October, Luanda has been the scene of two attempts to demonstrate, strongly repressed by the police, the last of which took place on Independence Day, November 11, which resulted in one dead in circumstances still to be clarified.
