According to a statement from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, to which VerAngola had access, the agreement was signed by Paula Regina Simões de Oliveira, minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation, and by Fernando Manuel de Almeida Alexandre, Minister of Education, Science and Innovation of Portugal.
The signing of the protocol took place last Friday, in Lisbon, capital of Portugal, in a ceremony attended by "representatives of the embassies and senior officials from both Ministries".
"This agreement covers key areas of collaboration between higher education and scientific research institutions in both countries, including the accreditation of courses, mobility of teachers and researchers, and the creation of research centers", reads the statement.
Furthermore, "among the main points, the protocol provides for the exchange of administrative and scientific experiences, support for master's and doctorate degrees, and the development of joint research programs."
According to the authority, the aforementioned partnership aims to "qualify human resources and reinforce technological capabilities, promoting sustainable growth in both countries".
