Angolan businesswoman is among the 100 personalities recognized for promoting tourism in Africa

An Angolan businesswoman is among the 100 individuals distinguished for promoting tourism on the African continent. She is Ângela Martha Diamantino Kuyanga, who founded the tourism agency Kadd Investimento LDA – Angola.

"Ângela Martha Diamantino Kuyanga, Angolan businesswoman and founder of the tourism agency Kadd Investimento LDA – Angola, was one of the 100 personalities distinguished with the 'Africa Travel 100 Global Leaders 2024' award", informed the Ministry of Tourism, in a statement to which the VerAngola had access.

According to the authority, this list highlights "the influential figures in the African tourism industry, recognizing their important contribution to promoting the continent as a tourist destination".

The 'Africa Travel 100 Global Leaders 2024' awards were presented at a ceremony that took place in Lagos, Nigeria.

During the event, the note says, "the work carried out by Ângela Martha in Angola was highlighted, having been nominated for first place as a promoter of tourism in Africa and in 24th place as a specialist in sustainable development of communities through tourism".

The businesswoman considered that "this recognition is not personal, but a benefit" for the country.

Quoted in the statement, she said that "sustainable tourism is responsible and naturally guarantees the improvement of the quality of life of communities and especially of tourist areas, in addition to making an enormous contribution to the maintenance and protection of the environment, it helps to create security guarantees for that the tourist and the recipient feel good and comfortable with tourist activities".

"Given that the promotion of Angola as a tourist destination is an intrinsic mission for all elements of the tourism system, this award serves as a platform for Angola to benefit from combined packages and investments in the regions to which it belongs, as well as in the linguistic communities or economic entities of which it is part, such as CPLP, PALOPS, CEEAC, SADC, among others", the statement also reads.
