Angola will face, this Tuesday, Niger in a game scheduled for the Larbi Zaouli stadium, in Casablanca, Morocco, home loaned to the Nigeriens.
José Carlos Miguel, vice-president of the Angolan federation, said that the bus taking the delegation to training to adapt to the pitch was diverted to an unknown location.
"The bus that transported the team to the stadium was purposely diverted to another location for some time. We regret this situation caused by the Nigeriens. The responsibility lies with the Niger Football Federation," said the official.
Despite what happened, the pitch recognition training ended up being carried out, for a match in which Angola can guarantee classification for CAN2025 in case of victory.
Angola alone occupies first place, with nine points, five more than Sudan, who on Thursday drew 0-0 against Accra, and seven more than Ghana, while Niger remains in last place, with just one point.
The top two from each of the six groups and the four best third-placed teams qualify for the final stage.
