The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement to which VerAngola had access, informs that, as part of the strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, the Director General of State Protocol, Isabel Paula de Castro, handed over the location sketch of the urban plot of land intended for the allocation of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates in Angola to the UAE Ambassador to Angola, Salem Al Khamis Obeid.
The delivery of this technical and cartographic document took place at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The plot of land, which is located in Phase I of Futungo de Belas, has an area of 4310 square metres and was identified by the Government as the ideal location for the new installation of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, which is currently operating in another location", the note reads.
According to the note from the Ministry, this gesture by the Executive "symbolises the commitment to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, with the signing of a reciprocal agreement in the area of land concessions being planned".
The ceremony for the delivery and reception of the location sketch was attended by Jorge Cardoso, Director for Africa, Middle East and Regional Organisations, and Carlos Sardinha, Director of International Cooperation.
