According to a note from the Angolan Handball Federation, to which VerAngola had access, the national team went into the break with a favorable advantage, with the score reading 17-9.

Angola ended up winning with a significant margin: at the final whistle the score was 30-15, with the national team beating the Congolese opponent by a difference of 15 points.

Angolan Marília Quizelete, according to the federation, was elected the best player on the field.

This is, therefore, the second victory for the national team in the pre-Olympic tournament, which debuted this Wednesday with a victory against Senegal (22-21).

According to the federation, "Angola will return to the scene this Saturday, at 6pm, against Cameroon for the grand final of the competition, which will be played at the Multiusos Arena do Kilamba pavilion".

These two victories allowed Angola to lead the league table with four points. The national team remains strong in the race to qualify for the Olympic games, however, nothing has yet been decided. Cameroon occupies second place in the standings, with three points, so it will be in Saturday's game that the only African representative at the Olympics will be known, as only the first placed team qualifies for the Olympic competition.

In addition to Angola and Cameroon, Senegal and Congo will also take the field on Saturday, with a match scheduled for 4pm, however, Senegal is already out of the qualifying race. The Senegalese lost this Thursday against Cameroon, currently scoring zero points.

Congo is in third place, with just one point.
