The first minutes of the match – played at the Kilamba multipurpose pavilion, in the capital – were not favorable for the national team, which saw Senegal open the scoring and take a four-point lead.

However, during the first half of the game, Angola managed to turn things around and, according to Angop, went into the break with a draw (11-11).

The balance seems to have been maintained during the second half, with the national team ultimately emerging victorious, beating their opponents by 22-21.

In the stands, among the supporters of the national team, the spotlight fell on the Vice-President of the Republic. According to Angop, Esperança da Costa, who witnessed Angola's departure, was accompanied by the Minister of State for the Social Area, Dalva Ringote, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Palmira Barbosa, among other members of the executive.

The national team takes the field again this Thursday, this time to compete in Congo. The game is scheduled for 6pm. According to Angop, the Angola game will be preceded by the match between Cameroon and Senegal, scheduled for 4 pm.

It should be noted that Cameroon and Congo also played this Wednesday, with the match being tied (21-21).

Angola is looking for a place at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and, according to Angop, the first placed team from these four teams will qualify for the Olympics.
