The person in charge made it known that "everything is aligned for a successful return".

"The preparations are going well, we have everything lined up to make it a successful round and we have the alignments with both the teams and the direction of the round. In a good sense it is running in the best possible way, without any surprises", she said, speaking to Rádio Nacional de Angola (RNA).

Cremilde Rangel announced that the race will start in Huambo, with passes through provinces such as Benguela, Cuanza Sul and Zaire, ending in Luanda.

"Yes, it starts, with its beginning in the province of Huambo. We will pass through Benguela, Cuanza Sul, we will pass through Luanda and end in the North, passing through the province of Zaire, and its end in Luanda", she stated, quoted by RNA.

This, which will be the second edition of the Volta a Angola on bicycle, will pay tribute to Alberto Silva 'Pepino'.

According to Jornal de Angola, the race will run until October 22nd, on a route that will feature eight stages, with a general break on the 18th being scheduled in the calendar.

Participation is open to national and foreign cyclists who live in the country, according to the same newspaper.
