TAAG with two new destinations. Company starts flying to Accra and Durban next month

Starting next month, the flag carrier will add two new destinations to its list, namely Accra (Ghana) and Durban (South Africa). Each of the routes will have three flights a week, with travel to the capital of Ghana scheduled to start on 9 November and to the South African city on 17 November.

On the route between Angola and Ghana (Luanda-Accra-Luanda), the flights will take place on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, informs TAAG in a statement.

"This new route responds to the needs of the corporate segment, with TAAG now providing a connection between Ghana and South Africa - with a stopover in Luanda - capitalizing on the existing flow of passengers between the west and south of the African continent", advances the note.

On the route to South Africa (Luanda-Durban-Luanda) the trips take place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

It should be noted that with the incorporation of Durban in its destinations, the state-owned company starts to guarantee connection to three important South African cities (Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban), which "are very attractive for tourism purposes and TAAG sees this reinforced its positioning as a company of choice, capable of connecting South Africa, one of the continent's largest economies, with the other destinations in Africa, Europe and the Americas operated by TAAG, enhancing the scale in Luanda", indicates the company.

The operation of the two new routes will be ensured by a Boeing 737-700NG, capable of transporting 120 people (12 in executive and 108 in economy).

It should be noted that with the opening of these new routes, the national airline will fly to 14 international destinations (Lisbon, Madrid, São Paulo, Havana, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban, Accra, Windhoek, Maputo, Kinshasa, Lagos, São Tome and Luanda).

The chairman of the executive committee of TAAG, Eduardo Farein, quoted in the note, states that the company intends to "continue on the path of growth in new routes, increase in flight frequencies in existing destinations and reinforcement of the fleet".

In order to promote customer preference for TAAG and lead new segments of the population to join air transport, the statement says, TAAG has been promoting a campaign to promote 50 percent of the price of tickets to all destinations. international and national (except Cabinda).
