Halavala centrality begins to receive first residents in November

Halavala Centrality, located in the municipality of Bailundo, in Huambo, will begin to receive the first residents next month.

:

The announcement was made this Thursday by the Secretary of State for Housing, Adérito Mohamed, during a working visit to the infrastructure, in which he was accompanied by the deputy governor for Technical Services and Infrastructures of Huambo, Elmano Francisco, by the municipal administrator of Bailundo, among others.

According to a statement from the Provincial Government of Huambo, to which VerAngola had access, the visit also served to "precede the formal handover of the centrality and, consequently, start the process of commercializing the residences".

On the occasion, the Secretary of State informed that in a first phase it is planned to benefit the youth, civil servants, ex-combatants and veterans of the country, as well as public and private companies, "in the modalities of leasing, repayable rent and purchase in cash, agreements the pre-defined quotas".

The largest share of housing is reserved for civil servants, with 902 apartments, followed by youth with 600 apartments.

The statement also states that 150 apartments each are intended for former combatants and people with disabilities. There are also 451 apartments reserved for the general public and 300 for emergency quotas.

Cited in the note, the official said that "the only constraint was related to water, but it has already been overcome with the entry into operation of the substation, capture and treatment of water from the Culele River".

All the conditions are thus created to start marketing and welcome the first residents of the urbanization, said Adérito Mohamed.

"It should be remembered that all citizens who have already benefited from any housing project financed with public funds are ineligible to apply for housing in the Halavala Centrality", says the note.

Inaugurated in May of this year by the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, this urbanization has more than 3000 dwellings, whose buildings have four floors with eight apartments each and houses with one or two floors.

In addition, the centrality also has schools, kindergartens, police station, medical center, sports courts, gardens, leisure areas, among others.

It should be noted that this is the third housing project in the province, which already has the centrality of Lossambo and Fernando Faustino Muteka.
