:

"The population of Bairro Cowboy, Comuna da Funda, Municipality of Cacuaco, received this Monday a new school with ten classrooms. As a result of the construction of the 4026 school, parents and guardians feel, in this way, the minimization of problems related to the distance, from home to school and vice versa, of their students", can be read in a statement posted on Facebook by the Provincial Government of Luanda (GPL).

According to the note, this public school was paralyzed for six years and will now "work in full in three shifts, for the 7th, 8th and 9th grades and has the capacity to accommodate 1350 students". In addition, the school will also have 36 teachers and 14 technicians for the administrative area.

The educational institution was inaugurated by the governor of Luanda, Ana Paula de Carvalho, who took the opportunity to exhort "students to take good care of the new heritage".

She also referred that "the main objective of the school's rehabilitation was to reduce the number of children that still exist outside the education system".

The note also mentions that the work was completed in six months, having cost the State 68 million kwanzas. With this new school, Funda commune now has a total of four public schools.

"There are in the portfolio, for that municipality located further north of Luanda, other infrastructures with social impact, which will benefit the citizens, responding to the primary needs of the citizens", concludes the statement.
