Generation 80 presents “Cinema for All” with film screenings in Luanda

From this Wednesday, angolan audiovisual producer Geração 80 presents the “Cinema for All” project, with the aim of making the seventh art in Luanda mass, with the exhibition of African films in different spaces of the capital.

The film screening starts this Wednesday at the Wyza Auditorium of the Arte Cultura Foundation with a presentation of the film "Mwana Nketo", by director Satanha Cinéfilo, taking place regularly every week.

The project has as its motto "cinema is not a luxury" and foresees the regular exhibition of films from Angola and other African countries in different cultural spaces in the city of Luanda, at the price of 1000 kwanzas.

The documentary "Oxalá Cresçam Pitangas", by Kiluanje Liberdade and Ondjaki, will be screened on 20 October.

Geração 80 is an angolan production company founded in 2010, focusing on independent and authored films in the most varied formats and genres, which have already participated in several film festivals.

The Art and Culture Foundation, created in 2006, has the mission of contributing to the social integration of children, young people and women in situations of vulnerability and risk, as well as the preservation and dissemination of cultural, artistic and historical manifestations in Angola, representing the contribution of social responsibility of the Mitrelli Group (Israeli) in the Portuguese-speaking country.
