The project was publicly presented on September 27, at an event held at the União dos Escritores Angolanos. In an interview Florence Douaze-Bonnet, Director General of Alliance Française, explained that the institution is very focused on cultural action in Angola and stressed that "The Cultural Season will serve to enhance angolan culture and art in general".
Asked about the partnership, Jelson Gaieta, responsible for Standard Bank for the area of Social Responsibility, described that it is with great pride to establish this partnership between Standard Bank and Alliance Française de Luanda and that the Heroes of Azul will be involved in the different phases of the season.
"This program will go through several points and will allow the inclusion and interaction of children and young people through the arts. Like sports, through the arts we can transmit values and, this way, it is certainly possible to transform societies", he stated.
The Cultural Season program consists of several activities such as the European Film Festival, Goût de France, Mea Culpa, FranceeMotion Exhibition, Revelations, the Power of Documentary "Photography (SA), Conexão 2.0, Abdoulaye Nderguet" which will take place throughout this year in Luanda.
