After the daily assessment of the epidemiological situation in the country, Luisa Grilo declared herself satisfied with "the responsibility" shown by teachers in the resumption of classroom activities in Angola, this Monday with the examination classes (6th, 9th, 12th and 13th classes), with a gradual recovery.
"Throughout the country, the movement of white coats returned to the streets," said Luisa Grilo, adding that the Ministry of Education accompanied the resumption of classes in 65 schools in Luanda.
The minister also praised the education officials and students: "Everything went well". However, she highlighted "an unpleasant case".
"A group of young people understood to make a 'selfie', taking off their masks and hugging themselves to post on social networks, a wrong attitude," lamented Luisa Grilo, stating that students, who will be aged between 17 and 19, have already been identified.
"They are not children, they are young finalists and will be held responsible for this negative attitude, they know they can't do it," said the ruler, emphasizing that students who "are one step away from the university cannot have a childish behavior".
At the beginning of the classes, professors, administrative staff and students pointed out negative points such as the lack of water and insufficiency of biosafety equipment.
According to the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, school surveillance brigades will be implemented that integrate teachers who "will help to interact with the rapid response teams regarding the detection of any symptom of covid-19.
The health authorities also intend to elect a municipal-level hospital that will be in charge of screening cases.
Angola has a total of 5530 cases of infection, of which 2591 have been recovered, 2740 active, including 16 citrics and 14 severe and 199 deaths.
