He considered that Angola is a country rich in forest resources, mainly wood, and that this wealth may open doors to the sector. He also highlighted the experience of artisans that may become important for the production and marketing of national furniture.
Cited by Angop, Amadeu Leitão Nunes, admitted that the joining of the initiatives carried out by the Government, such as fairs of this kind, and the enterprising spirit of the City of China will help the sector to create conditions for companies to grow and produce furniture with modern and internationally well elaborated standards.
The Secretary of State, who was speaking at the opening of the event that will take place in China City, also indicated that the Executive wants to move forward with the creation of the Furniture Technology Center to help meet the demands of companies in this area, especially with regard to the certification of furniture.
Jack Huang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the City of China, took the opportunity to stress that with the support of the government and help from sectors of society, the City of China will be seen as a site of economic collaboration and sharing of cultures between Angola and China.
He also announced that every year will be held fairs of several different sectors in that space.
Gong Tao, the Chinese ambassador to Angola, said that despite the impact of covid-19, relations between these two countries are firm and will continue to develop. About the fair, he stated that expectations are high.
