In the addendum to the competition program, conducted by the Gaming Supervision Institute (ISJ), the ministry states that the deadline for submission of applications and requests for clarification is "extended to next November 27, 2020 at 23:59:59".

In the statement, sent to Lusa, the ministry also adds that the pieces of the tender procedure are available for public consultation, "upon written request, free of charge, at the ISJ, being only those entities interested in submitting applications subject to the payment of a fee" worth 50 million kwanzas.

According to the document, this extension aims to "ensure the flexibility of some aspects contained in the pieces of the procedure, with the aim of signing the concession contract for the operation of social games with the candidate who presents the best technical conditions.

The bidding procedure will be conducted by the Games Supervision Institute and the revenues generated by the activity will serve "for the financing of public social policies, community projects, investments in the conservation of historic sites, among others," announced the government department in September.

"The tender for the exclusive concession for the exploitation of social games aims to restore the spirit of trust to the users of social games in the country, ensure equity, protect gamblers, raise awareness of responsible gaming, as well as fulfilling the social purpose of the Institute for Game Supervision," the ministry stresses.
