According to a statement published on the website of the Ministry of Finance (MINFIN), the doubling of the remuneration paid on the 23rd and 24th of September covered 2 percent of the total wage bill for civil servants and 11 percent of the second installment of the thirteenth complement month (Christmas allowance).
The amounts paid in excess will be returned to the National Treasury through monthly discounts on the remuneration installments of the next six months in the case of salaries.
As for the supplement of the thirteenth month, the first, second and third installments are considered paid. The fourth and final installment will be paid in November.
Employees who voluntarily return their wages until September 30, must send proof of the Billing Document to the e-mail devolucoes@minfin.gov.ao.
