In a statement sent to VerAngola, the company explains that with this agreement, which was signed last Friday, it "aims to welcome recent graduates, especially in the areas of Mechanical Engineering and Electrical Engineering, who obtain a merit degree upon completion of their degree, for paid professional internships, although there is also interest in other areas of degree".
In addition, the company also establishes the possibility of collaborating "on projects of common interest and/or joint initiatives, within the scope of engineering", aiming to promote, disseminate, study and scientifically deepen matters related to engineering.
Quoted in the statement, the Chairwoman of the Board of Directors (PCA) of MCA Angola, Elisabete Alves, considered that this partnership is an "added value for the professional training of recent graduates", as well as for their entry into the "qualified job market".
"The collaboration between MCA and the Instituto Superior Politécnico da Lunda Sul represents an added value for the professional training of recent graduates and for their insertion in the qualified job market. What we aim to provide students is to combine academic theory with practical experience in the job market", said Elisabete Alves.
As part of this agreement, before finishing their courses, students will also be able to make study visits, "duly scheduled, to photovoltaic projects that have already been completed, or whose works are underway, in the provinces of Lunda Sul, Lunda Norte and Moxico", the company also points out.
According to the statement, in April, the company completed the Saurimo photovoltaic park (province of Lunda Sul), "where many of these students will be able to do internships".
The aforementioned photovoltaic park has an installed capacity of 26.13 megawatts (MW) of energy to supply 171,565 people and is part of a "set of seven, with a total capacity of 370 MWp, in the provinces of Benguela, Huambo, Bié, Lunda Norte (in Lucapa) and Moxico (in Luena), which should all be operational by the end of this year", the company also states.
