At the event, which took place this Wednesday at the Epic Sana Luanda Hotel, "brands that are relevant to consumers and corporate brands that operate in the business-to-business dimension were evaluated, as well as, for the first time, the outstanding personalities recognized and elected by the public", according to a statement sent to VerAngola.
According to Pedro Diogo Vaz, Country Manager of Superbrands Angola, all the recognized brands "have a strong impact not only on the Angolan market, but also on the economy and society itself".
"Of the 43 brands distinguished, there are 11 that were recognized for the first time as brands of excellence. All of these brands have a strong impact not only on the Angolan market, but also on the economy and society itself, and our purpose is to recognize them and highlight their role in the country", pointed out Pedro Diogo Vaz.
Among the brands distinguished in the 'General Superbrands' category, the following stand out: Aliança Seguros, Alimo, Angomart, Best, Bom Dia, Bonita, Casanova, Centrooptico, Elephant Bet, ENSA, Fazenda Filomena and Fidelidade.
Also in this category are the brands Flodent, Fresmart, Germol, Luanda Medical Center, Midea, Mitsubishi, Momo, Orion, Patriota, Premier Bet, Primavera, Puma, Rádio Mais, Special, Tio Lucas, TPA, Ultra, Unitel, Valinho, Yolo and Zap.
In the 'Corporate Superbrands' category, the brands Academia BAI, Authentic, DHL, Epic Sana Luanda, Espaços, Expansão, Grupo Carrinho, Grupo Cosa, Novo Jornal and Sistec were recognised.
The list of 11 brands recognised for the first time this year is made up of Authentic, Bonita, Elephant Bet, Espaços, Flodent, Orion, Patriota, Premier Bet, Primavera, Puma and Yolo.
The official also said that the brands are chosen in a "suitable, independent and transparent manner" through a study conducted among consumers: "The selection of the brands of excellence is done in a suitable, independent and transparent manner, through a study conducted among consumers, in partnership with Key Research, and an assessment by the Superbrands Council, composed annually of influential professionals and representatives of the sector", he said.
This year, the gala also distinguished four personalities of excellence. According to the statement, in this category "Angolans identified the people who stood out the most in four areas", and, through a public vote, Juddy da Conceição (digital influencers), Pérola (music), Salú Gonçalves (radio announcers) and Gelson Dala (sports) were elected.
This year's edition also included the presentation of the 'Superbrands Solidária' award to the Grupo Amizade institution, "whose mission is to improve the lives of Angolan children and young people from the most deprived classes, working in the areas of health, social protection and education".
"The Superbrands Solidária award arises from Superbrands Angola's desire to praise and reward social causes that, through their actions, stand out most in creating a better world", the note states.
This year's edition was dedicated to the theme 'Relationship between Art and Brands', which was inspired by the sculpture 'O Pensador'.
"With this concept, we intend not only to pay homage to Angola's cultural legacy, but also to highlight the influence of brands in building the country's future, encouraging reflection and positive action. Companies achieve success when they make their teams happy, their customers and partners satisfied. We intend to recognize this and encourage it to happen daily, also encouraging brands to embrace their reflective nature, transforming it into a drive for progress, creating a more significant and impactful presence in the world", said the Country Manager of Superbrands Angola, quoted in the statement.
