According to Angop, of the 18 athletes who trained in Portugal, 14 travelled to Uzbekistan.
These are the players Bonito, Arroz Doce, Vedo, Pesado, Bráulio, Anderson and Helber. They are joined on the trip by Kaluanda, Chico, Jo, Adérito, Nelsinho, Paulo and Denis.
The national coach, Marcos Antunes, in statements to Angop, said that the goal is to seek an improvement in the group stage achieved in Lithuania in 2021.
In the World Cup, which will be held from 14 September to 6 October in Uzbekistan, the national team is part of group C, also composed of the teams of Afghanistan, Argentina and Ukraine.
During the training camp in Portugal, the national team played five matches, having faced Uzbekistan, Portugal and Escola Afonsinhos.
