Pedro Gonçalves, making a prediction for Monday's game, admitted that it will be another difficult challenge, but that the team is very motivated.
According to the coach, the team will, "once again", enter determined "to fight for victory".
"Being in front of the group is motivating and stimulating, but we will have an extremely demanding match. Therefore, we will, once again, enter determined to fight for victory at home", he said, quoted by Angop.
The coach expressed confidence in the team, reaffirming that it will be an "extremely demanding" game and that the objective is to beat Sudan, thus winning the six points.
Regarding the victory in the game against Ghana – played this Thursday –, Pedro Gonçalves pointed out the obstacles faced to secure the victory in discount period, thanks to Milson's goal in the 93rd minute. Quoted by Angop, the coach also explained that when he designed the team he considered that any of the four teams has the ability to take points from the others, with the goal being to qualify for CAN2025.
It should be noted that Angola began the race for CAN2025 with a victory this Thursday. Playing away from home, the Palancas Negras beat the Ghanaian national team by 1-0.
The national team will return to action next Monday, to face Sudan. The game is scheduled for 8:00 pm, at the 11 de Novembro National Stadium.
At the moment, the leadership of Group F is shared between Angola and Sudan, both with three points.
CAN2025 will take place in Morocco between 21 December next year and 18 January 2026.
