According to the captain, in recent years, Ghana has shown enormous difficulties in terms of quality of play, as well as positive results, factors that can be well used by the Angolans, in order to achieve their first points.
"We will do everything we can to have a good match. Ghana is a very strong team and has not been doing well. We played against the Ghanaians recently, they have the ability to change the course of the match. We also have the quality to respond accordingly", he said.
The coach, Pedro Gonçalves, expressed his desire to beat Ghana. "We have a core of motivated and determined players to guarantee qualification for the CAN. We want to win. We know that we will face a great team, extremely powerful in Africa, full of talent, especially in the midfield and attack. They are top-class athletes from the world elite, but despite this, we intend to play a good game, get points away from home and aim for qualification", he said.
It is worth remembering that Angola will play Ghana this Thursday in the first round of the qualifying phase for the 2025 African Cup of Nations (CAN) in Morocco. The match against Ghana will be held in Kumasi (Ghana).
Four days later, they will receive Sudan in Luanda.
The biggest African football tournament will be held from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026 in Morocco.
