Using her Instagram page, the young woman said that it was a dream that she now sees coming true.
"I'm still processing everything that happened. Being crowned Miss Grand Angola 2024 is a dream that I've always kept in my heart, but living this moment is something indescribable," she wrote, in a publication.
In the publication, to which VerAngola had access, Nacira Amaral acknowledged that when she started this journey "knew it wouldn't be easy".
"From day one, I faced challenges that tested me in every possible way. Rehearsals were intense, training required total dedication, and each day was an opportunity to learn something new. There were days when the physical and emotional exhaustion was so great that I wondered if I would be able to continue. But in each of those moments, something inside me told me not to give up," she wrote.
From this experience she says she takes as "one of the greatest gifts" the relationship she built with the other competitors: "One of the greatest gifts from this experience was the relationships I built with the other girls. Each of them brought with them a unique story, full of dreams and challenges, and together we created a special bond. The environment was competitive, of course, but at the same time, there was a spirit of brotherhood and mutual support that made this journey even more special. We learn from each other, we laugh, we cry, and we grow together. Knowing that I made friends for life is something I will carry with me forever."
Nacira Amaral also comments that this achievement is not just hers, it also belongs to all the people who supported her and believed in her.
The young woman says she is ready to wear this crown proudly: "I am ready to wear this crown with pride and responsibility, representing our country and inspiring other women to follow their dreams."
According to Angop, the young winner made a commitment to fight against child abuse.
At the gala, before the jury – made up of fashion and communication professionals – chose the winner, the contestants presented themselves in outfits that represented Angola's cultural richness and demonstrated their oratory skills.
Furthermore, the event also featured moments of entertainment starring Button Rose, Rafael Sampaio, Luana Praia, Imah Velosa and Ed Ramiros, writes Angop.
According to a note from Miss Grand Angola, to which VerAngola had access, Nacira Amaral "is known for her determination and resilience".
The 20-year-old currently lives in Luanda, "where she is studying Law at the Instituto Superior Politécnico Metropolitano de Angola".
