According to a statement from the government of the province of Cuanza Norte, to which VerAngola had access, the hearing took place on Thursday morning and served to discuss the "details of the company's installation in Cuanza Norte".
"This project involves the creation of a commercial hub in 'China City', which will have as its main focus trade and will have several factories, including plastics and iron", the note reads.
The future hub will also offer "sales of construction materials, household appliances, bales and many others", and the initiative also foresees, in the future, the "inclusion of services in the mining and agricultural industries".
On the occasion, the governor of Cuanza Norte expressed his satisfaction with the proposal that the company presented.
"We are open to receiving investments that are not limited to trade, but cover a range of areas. Cuanza Norte is rich in mineral resources such as iron, manganese and marble, as well as having fertile soil for agricultural production", said João Diogo Gaspar, who also highlighted the "importance of accelerating the installation of services to generate more jobs for young people in the region".
Jack Huang, after learning about the site reserved for the project, which is located at Km11, thanked the provincial government "for the welcome and attention given to the company's arrival".
The president of the Chinese company assured that construction work on the project "will begin at the end of this year and will employ more than a thousand young men and women".
