Passing through Angola for the sixth time, the train arrived in the country from Tanzania, beginning its journey in the municipality of Luau (Moxico Leste).

According to a statement from the provincial government of Moxico Leste, which VerAngola had access to, the journey is much more than a trip, presenting itself as a "celebration of the country's natural and cultural riches."

"This is the sixth time that the luxurious Rovos Rail train has passed through Angola, via the Benguela Railway, coming from Dar-es-Salam, the economic capital of the Republic of Tanzania. This passage is not just a trip; it is a celebration of Angola's natural and cultural riches," the statement reads.

More than 50 tourists of different nationalities are traveling on board this train.

"On board were 54 tourists from South Africa, Asia, the United States, and Europe," the statement reads, adding that "the diversity of visitors further enriches the experience, promoting a cultural exchange that strengthens ties between nations."

This first stop at the Luau was marked by a demonstration of the Tchianda dance, as well as gastronomy.

"At the municipal headquarters of the former Vila Teixeira de Sousa, in the border municipality of Luau, tourists were treated to the best of national culture. The Tchianda dance demonstration and the gastronomic exhibitions were highlights of the event," the provincial government reported, adding that "these cultural demonstrations not only delighted visitors but also served to promote Angola's cultural richness, showcasing the country's tourism potential."

In addition to Moxico Leste, the train will also pass through Benguela, Bié, and Huambo.

"The tourist itinerary for lovers of Angola's natural beauty continues to the municipality of Lobito, in the province of Benguela, passing through the provinces of Bié and Huambo," on a journey that allows tourists to discover the country's "landscape and cultural diversity, from its majestic mountains to its rich traditions."

It is worth remembering that it was in 2019 that Angola received the first Rovos Rail tourist train.
