From the 9th to the 13th of September, the 10th African Engineering Week and the 8th African Engineering Conference will be held in Luanda.
This is the first time that Angola will host this event, which will have the motto "Innovative infrastructure solutions for a sustainable Africa and rapid implementation of the African continental free trade zone".
The event will take place at the Hotel Intercontinental Luanda Miramar.
Organized by the Order of Engineers of Angola (OAS), promoted by UNESCO, the World Federation and the African Federation of Engineering Organizations in partnership with the African Union and the African Continental Free Trade Area, the event will focus on engineering and will aim to educate young people and the general public about the engineering profession, through educational workshops, public awareness events, mentoring activities and university events.
The event aims to demonstrate how engineers play an essential role in solving challenges on the continent, such as the supply of drinking water, among others.
