According to Miguel dos Santos, advisor to the FGC board of directors, the "Diversifica Mais" guarantee line will be launched in Luanda on Tuesday, as part of the financing contracted by the Government with the World Bank.

"Financing in the amount of 300 million dollars to finance the economic diversification and job creation project", the official specified, in statements to the Angolan Public Television.

Miguel dos Santos stressed that the guarantee will be granted within the scope of the Economic Diversification and Job Creation Acceleration Project, under the responsibility of the Ministry of Planning, whose objective is to attract private investment and promote the growth of micro, small and medium-sized companies outside the oil sector.

The official said that the projects approved by the bank are eligible for financing, for companies that are already operating and intend to expand or diversify their business portfolio, as well as for 'startups' (companies starting up their activities).

"We will guarantee up to 75 percent of the financing in this line and the commercial banks will be the ones who will finance it. We will launch the line on September 3rd and then all interested banks will sign the agreement with the FGC", said Miguel dos Santos, highlighting that the interest rate will be negotiated between the promoter and the commercial banks.
