New hotel opened in Luanda creates more than 200 jobs for young people

As of this Wednesday, Luanda has a new hotel unit. Located in the Maianga Urban District, the hotel enabled the creation of more than 200 new jobs for young Angolans.

Called 'Continental Horizonte', the hotel, whose inauguration took place this Wednesday (27 September, the day on which World Tourism Day was celebrated), has ten floors, as well as more than 160 rooms.

According to a note from the municipal administration of Luanda, to which VerAngola had access, the hotel unit also has a swimming pool, meeting rooms, among others.

"The hotel, with ten floors, has more than 160 rooms, including restaurants, meeting rooms, swimming pool and several other areas, offering various services", the note reads.

Reception, bar, games room, gym, among others, also make up the building's list of amenities.

It is also worth highlighting the fact that it contributes to employability, as its entry into operation made it possible to employ more than 200 young people.

"The Continental Horizonte, the newest hotel unit in the Municipality of Luanda, in the Urban District of Maianga, was inaugurated this Wednesday, September 27th, with more than 200 new jobs for young Angolans, being for many the first employment", says the municipal administration.

It is a four-star hotel, according to a statement from the Maianga Urban District.

Quoted in the note, the president of the Association of Hotels and Resorts of Angola (AHRA) considered that the hotel unit "will create the necessary conditions to attract international tourists".

According to the municipal administration of Luanda, the inauguration ceremony was presided over by Filipe Zau, Minister of Culture and Tourism, accompanied by the Deputy Administrator for the Economic and Financial Area, Ana Paula (representing the municipal administrator of Luanda, Milca Caquesse), the municipal director of culture, Domingos Fungo, among others.
