“It’s a complicated year. This year 2023 for the world of diamonds is very bad. I must say that, just as an example, the market that currently receives more than 90 percent of Angola's production, which is the Indian market, is closed, it does not receive diamonds from anywhere, until December 15th, either to say that companies are having difficulty at the moment”, said José Ganga Júnior, speaking to the press.
The official stressed that companies continue to produce, but are unable to sell diamonds.
“This is our reality, we are producing, we have not stopped, we are not selling as we should, but we have to be resilient and hold on, that is why the results this year will not be very good”, he stressed.
José Ganga Júnior participated in a workshop promoted by Endiama and the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN) for the diamond company's use of the communication services of the Angosat-2 satellite and the TECH-Minas space application – a solution aimed at providing products and earth observation services for the national mining sector.
