BAI opens credit line of 43 billion kwanzas for the 2024 agricultural campaign

The Angolan Investment Bank (BAI) went ahead with the opening of the financing line called “Crédito Campanha Agrícola 2024”, worth 43 billion kwanzas, with the aim of "boosting farmers and other producers who already operate in the sector, with conditions to invest in the next agricultural season and who require additional support to guarantee the production and marketing of grains and cereals".

In a statement sent to VerAngola, BAI explains that for the individual analysis of the amount to be financed, the company's needs for payment of expenses with the preparation of land for the cultivation of grains and cereals will be taken into account.

The amount of funding for each project is up to 500 million kwanzas, with higher amounts having to be submitted for approval.

Customers who "have not strictly and rigorously complied with the exchange rate rules in force in the country, those with pending processes proving the entry of goods and services into the country, as well as those awaiting decision on processes will be conditioned to adhere to this line of financing. tax litigation".
