Kibabo opens new store in Kilamba and creates 50 jobs

Kibabo opened, this Friday, another supermarket in the country. Located in the heart of Kilamba, this is the group's 35th establishment, with an investment of over 200 million kwanzas and employing 50 young people.

The most recent Kibabo is the sixth supermarket in that area, located in the G14 building.

The result of an investment of more than 200 million kwanzas, the new store, which generated 50 jobs for young people, comprises a bakery, butcher, delicatessen, fruit area, among other areas, writes Jornal de Angola.

The opening ceremony was attended by Murtala Marta, administrator of that centrality, who, according to Jornal de Angola, took the opportunity to thank the Kibabo group's management for the great commitment to proximity stores.

It also asked for greater emphasis on offering basic food products without forgetting affordable prices.

Pedro Mateus, CEO of the Kibabo group, considered that the opening of another store reflects the intention to ensure better services.

Cited by Jornal de Angola, he also took advantage of the occasion to mention that the company's plans to have 40 jobs and 40 supermarkets open by the end of the year 2000 remain.

He also informed that, within the next few days, Camama will host another supermarket and that next month they will open three more supermarkets.

In November, the company plans to open its 40th store, on the 22nd of that month, located in the urban district of Samba, writes Jornal de Angola.

The company also already has plans for the next year: the group intends to expand its network beyond the borders of the capital, with this start-up scheduled to begin with the province of Benguela.
