Manuel Homem wants to govern “a Luanda that makes us all feel more comfortable living in it”

The new governor of Luanda province, already in office, guarantees that he is prepared for the challenge of running the country's capital, defining basic sanitation, public safety and the restructuring of roads as main priorities.

Speaking to the press at the end of the swearing-in ceremony, Manuel Homem promised to respond to the President of the Republic's request to the Executive to work more and communicate better, guaranteeing inclusive and open governance.

"There are challenges in Luanda here that we need to look at carefully and work with the contribution of citizens, citizens, existing social organizations, communities. Therefore, we will try to work in an inclusive way, with everyone, so that we can reach the end of our exercise with a Luanda that makes us all feel more comfortable living in it", said Manuel Homem, former minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication.

Mara Quiosa, the new governor of the province of Cabinda, acknowledged that more and better communication is needed for proximity governance.

After taking office, with the arrival of the government of Bengo province, Mara ensures the continuity of projects already started in Cabinda province, with emphasis on structuring projects, such as the PIIM.

"Our Executive has great projects, we have many achievements at the provincial level. Naturally, special attention should be given to our youth, to the young people of the province, in terms of employability, and also in the context of continuous promotion housing for our young people", he explained.

In Malanje, the new governor Marcos Alexandre Nhunga, who was in Cabinda in the same position, will explore the mining, tourist and other potential to be evaluated by his team.

"Obviously, this assessment has to be done with everyone, with the work team, with the community, civil society. We have to make the population of Malanje participate in this process of mitigating the problems, in this development process that we want to our province of Malanje", he justified.

The province of Namibe continues with the governance of Archer Mangueira, who reaffirms the commitment to do more and better for the population of that locality.

"Priorities are those that are already defined in the Government's Program, those that were also mentioned by the President of the Republic: to continue the programs that are registered in the PIIM, and essentially to carry out actions that solve people's problems in different domains", he said. .

The President of the Republic swore in the 18 provincial governors, as well as the ministers and members of his cabinet.
