The politician was confronted with the fact that President João Lourenço did not mention the realization of the municipalities, on the occasion of his investiture this Thursday, for the next five years.
"This does not mean that the municipalities will not happen. In principle, the municipal elections are scheduled for 2024, if we approve the legislation in 2023", Rui Falcão told journalists, speaking on the sidelines of the swearing in of deputies to parliament.
But it all depends on whether the municipal legislation is passed this year, he said.
