Guinean President Umaro Sissoco Embaló arrived in Luanda on Tuesday from Kenya to participate in the inauguration ceremony of João Lourenço, re-elected for a second term as head of state.
During the meeting, the two heads of state discussed the "relaunch of Guinea-Angolan cooperation" and "with a clear interest in being as soon as possible, based on the strong friendship relations that have always existed between Guinea-Bissau and Angola and between the two brother peoples", reads the message.
The message also mentions that the two Presidents analyzed the political situation in each of the countries, the "great challenges of the African continent" and in "some of the regional areas, taking into account the next session of the United Nations General Assembly".
