Luanda: seven dead and 23 injured in road accidents over the weekend

Police in Luanda registered seven deaths and 23 injuries in 15 accidents over the past weekend, with material damage estimated at more than ten million kwanzas, it was announced.

According to the police report, to which Lusa had access, 39 motorists were detained in this period, aged between 20 and 57 years, alleged perpetrators of the crime of driving in a state of drunkenness, having been released under term. identity and residence for the next answer in court.

As part of the regularization and inspection of car traffic, the police seized seven vehicles, 94 motorbikes and fined 316 motorists for various violations of the Highway Code.

With regard to fighting crime, the police arrested 154 alleged perpetrators of various crimes, seized 14 firearms, including ten AKM-type machine guns and four pistols.

On Saturday, the police detained a woman, for a felony crime, when she was stopped on a public street in police uniform, confessing later that she belongs to her boyfriend placed in charge of the provincial command of Kwanza Sul.

The 28-year-old woman said that in exchange for values ​​ranging from 50,000 to 100,000 kwanzas, she promised to frame her victims at the National Police.

Also on Saturday, police detained a 14-year-old minor, known as "Spider-Man", for carrying out several robberies on buildings in Kilamba, Luanda, climbing the buildings to steal computers, mobile phones and other valuables.
