The welcome reception took place at 4 de Fevereiro International Airport. Bornito de Sousa, vice-president, was present at the occasion, who welcomed João Lourenço and the first lady, Ana Dias Lourenço, who accompanied the president on his trips abroad, writes Angop.
João Lourenço traveled to Washington, in the United States of America, on September 18, where he attended the annual gala of the International Foundation for the Conservation of the Environment and visited the Museum of African-American History.
He then went to New York, where he participated in the United Nations General Assembly.
Then he went to Spain, where he met with the King of that country, Filipe VI, and with the President of the Spanish government, Pedro Sánchez, among other jobs.
