Angola requires negative tests for unvaccinated and certified workers to travel

The measures are contained in an addition to the presidential decree of 31 August, which updated the measures for the propagation and control of covid-19, which entered into force at 00:00 on 1 September and were announced this Monday by the Minister of State and head of the House of Security of the President of the Republic, Francisco Furtado.

According to the changes introduced, "immunization through the vaccine is strictly recommended for professionals in the health and education sector, as well as defense and security forces in order to prevent mass contagion", said the official

It is also recommended to vaccinate civil servants and all private sector employees, as well as citizens traveling on inter-provincial trips, who should be excused from work on the day of vaccination, excluding minors under 18 from the recommendation.

According to the law, competent public and private entities may require the submission of SARS CoV-2 tests with negative results as a condition of access to services, in cases where employees or workers are not immunized, with the tests being paid for by citizens.

All citizens vaccinated with a full dose can already access a certificate, issued by the Ministry of Health, in paper or digital format.

The presentation of the certificate is mandatory for the following cases: participation in a public examination for admission to the public administration, namely in the sectors of education, health and defense and security forces and travel abroad, and may be replaced by the proof that attests to the take at least one dose.

The diploma enters into force at 00:00 on the 10th of September.
