Of the five million and 300 thousand kwanzas, three million are destined for the best composer of the festival. In addition, the author of the best lyric, the best voice of the festival, best performer and LAC/Unitel prize will also receive a monetary award.
According to Expansão, the author of the best lyric will receive 800 thousand kwanzas, while the remaining three will be entitled to 500 thousand kwanzas each.
The gala takes place next Friday, September 24, at the Palácio de Ferro. Radio Luanda Antena Comercial (LAC), mentor of the festival, stressed that the contest aims to stimulate the creation of music with quality.
The director of LAC, Maria Luísa Fançoni, cited by Expansão, said that this year's edition aims to honor the national music, having as its central theme "the poetics in the course of angolan music".
