The Presidential Order, to which Lusa had access this Wednesday, states that the Benguela provincial government benefited three years ago from internal funding, approved by Presidential Order No. 104/18, of August 1, relating to the rehabilitation and asphalting of 19.5 kilometers of road in the municipality of Cubal and 10.8 kilometers of road in the municipality of Ganda.

The document stresses the need to update the previously approved values, in 2018, with an additional 9.7 billion kwanzas for the construction of the secondary road in the municipality of Cubal and 5.4 billion kwanzas for the municipality of Ganda.

Another presidential order authorized the opening of a Public Tender for Public Works Concession for the construction of physical infrastructure, allotment, organization and operation of customs warehouses in the Border Trade Zone of Luvo Post, Luvo commune, Mbanza Congo municipality, Zaire province, with the Democratic Republic of Congo.

The construction of these infrastructures, "of extreme importance," is justified by the need to create conditions that ensure an improved business environment, encourage private investment and consolidate physical infrastructure, with a view to organizing economic activities at national borders.

Among the objectives, the document also highlights the need to boost inter-regional trade, the movement of people and goods, promote licit exports, facilitate trade, and develop border areas.
