Government of Kwanza Sul removes little "familiar" bust of Agostinho Neto

The Provincial Government of Kwanza Sul ordered to remove the bust of Agostinho Neto, placed in the Plaza 17 of September, for this not to be "in accordance to what is familiar".

:

"The Provincial Office of Social Communication communicates that the Government of the Province of Kwanza Sul is in solidarity with all who, like us, realized that the bust of the Founder of the Nation and the National Hero, Dr. António Agostinho Neto, placed in the Largo 17 of September, in the Village of the Mussende, is not in accordance with what is familiar to us", can be read in a communiqué, published in the page of Facebook of the Municipal Administration of the Mussende.

According to the note, the government explains that for this reason it was ordered that "the municipal authorities provide for its removal replacing it with what is familiar to us".

The bust was created by local artists, who had less than two days to prepare the work. "To the local artists who worked in less than 48 hours for a better performance, we sincerely apologize," the statement concludes.
