Covid-19: Angola with 30 new positive cases in the last 24 hours

The country registered 30 new infections by the new coronavirus in the last 24 hours, which raises the total of positive cases to 2965, maintaining the 117 previous deaths, announced this Sunday the health authorities.

According to data presented by the Secretary of State for Public Health, Franco Mufinda, 24 of the new positive cases were detected in Luanda, and the rest in the provinces of Cabinda and Zaire, each with three.

The new infectees are between 5 and 77 years old, 21 men and nine women.

The current balance of the covid-19 pandemic in Angola is 2965 cases, 117 deaths, 1198 recovered and 1650 active, of which three are critical, under invasive mechanical ventilation, 20 severe, 48 moderate, 44 mild and 1535 asymptomatic.

In the country's treatment centers, more than 300 are hospitalized.

As far as the laboratory is concerned, 305 samples were processed in the last 24 hours, 30 of which were positive, making a cumulative of 60,193 samples processed, 2965 of which were positive.

The pandemic of the new coronavirus that causes the covid-19 disease has already caused more than 880,000 deaths and more than 26.9 million infected worldwide.

In Africa, there are 31,056 confirmed deaths in more than 1.2 million infected in 55 countries, according to the most recent statistics about the pandemic in that continent.
