According to the governor, four cases were registered in Zaire province, two in Cabinda and the rest in Luanda, aged between 7 and 77 years, being 19 men and nine women.
With data from the last 24 hours, which also report the recovery of 29 patients, the country has a cumulative of 2805 cases, 113 deaths, 1144 recovered and 1548 active, of which three are critical, under invasive mechanical ventilation, 20 severe, 40 moderate, 52 mild and 1433 asymptomatic.
Franco Mufinda noted that in Angola to date 45 health professionals have been infected with SARS-COV-2, representing a rate of 1.6 percent.
"When we compare this average rate with the reality in other latitudes or what is the world average, we are below. We are talking about an expected average of up to 6 percent, and Angola to date has 1.6 percent of infected health professionals," said Mufinda, attributing this average to the training effort promoted for health professionals, as well as compliance with biosecurity measures.
In the last 24 hours, the laboratory processed 635 samples, 28 of which were positive, pointing the cumulative to 58,716 processed samples, of which 2805 were positive.
For this Friday, it is expected the conclusion of the testing of 2000 taxi drivers from Luanda, who join the 3000 colleagues already tested.
