Asseco discusses "new banking normal" in times of pandemic

The covid-19 pandemic changed several behaviors and procedures that we were used to. The changes were felt in all sectors, including banking. In this sense, Asseco PST, a technological company present in the country since 1990, will promote a webinar on the acceleration of banking digitalization in recent months.

In a statement sent to VerAngola, the company explains that the changes in the banking sector in recent months were not due to a "strategic vision", but to "a disruptive external factor - the pandemic - which imposed the need for a 'new normal'". In this sense, Asseco will hold a webinar on Wednesday, September 23rd to discuss this point.

According to José Nunes, administrator of Asseco PST, the consequences of the pandemic forced the future of banking to be accelerated: "The future is now and the programs of digital transformation in banking, with a planned execution in years, have the goal of being executed in months".

"Within this non-option, because it was not an option, the banks maintain the need to differentiate themselves. At Asseco PST, we believe that this differentiation can come from the response of each banking entity to three main questions: convenience, customization and security", he said.

The debate, which will have as its central theme "Digital, the new normal of banking: challenges in times of change", will be attended by speakers Eduardo Ferreira, Head of Digital & Channels Delivery of the company, and Miguel Ferreira, Security Consulting and Systems Leader.

Aimed at the banking professionals present where the company operates (Angola, East Timor, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Sao Tome and Principe and Portugal), the webinar starts at 11am and "intends to share ideas, solutions and present its offer in each of those three pillars", indicates the document.
