According to a statement from FIBA, to which VerAngola had access, in addition to Angola, the teams from Cameroon, Cape Verde, Ivory Coast, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt and Guinea have also qualified.
Libya, Madagascar, Mali, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Sudan, Tunisia and Uganda will also participate in this year's edition of Afrobasket.
The FIBA note informs that "20 teams played a total of 59 games over three qualifying windows in six African cities".
The qualifying phase began in February last year, with the first window taking place in Tunisia and Egypt, while the second window took place in Senegal, "before making its final stops this month in Antananarivo, Rabat and Tripoli".
With the conclusion of the qualifying phase, it is now possible to know who has qualified, with four teams having fallen by the wayside: Central African Republic, Gabon, Kenya and Morocco.
"On Sunday 23 February, Guinea and Rwanda secured the last two tickets for this year's African final," FIBA said.
